A Moment With Robert
Spread the Happiness

I had fun writing this one. You should spread your happiness to others… really you should.

“Happiness is contagious. Be a carrier” ~Robert Orben

Have you ever looked at someone and just laughed. Then because you laughed, they start laughing. I do this all the time to my little nieces. They have no idea why they are laughing. They have no idea why I am laughing. All they know is that my laugh is making them laugh. That’s kind of funny.

Here is something you can experiment with. When you are out in public, start laughing for no reason. People will start to look at you with curiosity. They will want to know what is making you laugh. They might even start laughing because you are laughing. If anything you will have brought a little humor to other peoples lives.

If you think just laughing is creepy, then pick up your cell phone and pretend you are laughing at someone on the other side of the call. Or wear your earphones and point to them when other people look at you funny. You will have to laugh harder to get a response out of them, but at least you won’t seem like a creepy, insane, happy person.

Look For Stars, Not Mud

Take a look at yourself first. How do you look at things? Do you think about what is happening to you? Are you seeing all the things people are doing to hurt you? Are you thing about all the negatives in you life? From my experience, thinking about the bad things in life just brings on more things that are bad…. (Read More)

You should be striving to do better than you are right now. I don’t care what you are doing. I don’t care how well you are doing it. I think there is always room for improvement and you should have a goal to find ways to better yourself… (Read More) http://amplify.com/u/a1d87f

I see people who live in one of these two ways. It is rare that I find someone who can do both effectively. They either live for the hard to earn dollar, or they live to help others around them. It is hard to focus on both of these at the same time. They tend to fight against each other… (Read More) http://amplify.com/u/a1d6cp

A lot of people I fins, live in the fear that they are going to do something wrong. They live in the fear they are going to let someone down. They fear they will fail. I will be the first to admit, I have this fear more often than I don’t.

As I live and work and learn, I have found that life is full of successes and failures. The successes are awesome. They feel good and may get you places you never dreamed you could get. It is the failures though that are the most productive. When you fail at something, you have the opportunity to learn from it. If you can learn from it, you will not only have the ability not to let that failure happen again, you also have the ability to teach other the avoid that same failure.

So You can keep up to date with all the things I am doing these days. I have been trying to figure out how I can let everyone who finds my work fascinating know when I finish writing or creating something that is worthwhile. I don’t tend to tweet about everything I do. I don’t like to blog about everything I do. I do have a rss reader on my fan page that will post everything I do on twitter, amplify and my blogs so you can keep up to date with them. I am so Excited about the New Thundercats Series

I have started a lens where I give you My thoughts about each and every episode as I watch them. If you Love the Thundercats, please take a look at my Lens. Thanks.

Have You Seen the New Thundercats Yet?

I grew up watching the classic Thundercats. They were amazing. I had the action figures and everything. I remember my friends and I would play games outside where we were the Thundercats. I was always Lion-o and my best friend’s sister was always Cheetara. We would run and chase after Mumm-rah and, on one occasion, I remember climbing on top of the house to pretend we were at the top of the Thundercats’ Lair.
Below I am going to talk about each episode as I watch them. I would love to know your comments about the show and maybe what your favorite character and episodes might be. Please take a moment to leave those comments below.

Dress Like Rue from The Hunger Games

I added some Halloween Costume Tips for dressing like Rue from the Hunger Games on this Lens. This is going to be a fun Halloween. I can’t wait to see what everyone is going to dress up like.

Dress Like Rue

I Picture Her with Ponytails that keep her hair close

Since she is always in the trees, she will want to tie her hair down so it does not snag in the branches. I see her with two ponytails. on either side of her head. She might have even french braided it to help hold it in place. Then if you want to be mid games, you can scruffy it up a bit.

I don’t think Rue had a very large bag. She had to be light and agile, so anything heavy would just slow her down. She was able to stay up high and away from the rest of the Tributes. So if you choose a bag to wear, make it a small bag.

You might want to get a net to play on her capture. I don’t want to give to much away from the book, but it will give a fun since of interest as you walk from door to door on Halloween with a net over your head.

The 9 11 Rabbit

Two Days for People to Read This

I wrote this Poem for the 10 year anniversary of 9/11 wanting to share a bit of remembrance of that tragic day. I was going to make a YouTube Video for the poem I’m about to share, but couldn’t figure out a professional way to record it.

So, instead, I thought I would make a Squidoo Lens to share it. I am proud of this poem and plan to publish an illustrated book with the poem in it. But for now I will let anyone who wants to read it. I have 2 days to get as many people as possible to read it for the 10 year remembrance. This is where I need your help.

Do You Procrastinate?

Amplify’d from socyberty.com

I didn’t want to write this. I Just wanted to lay on the couch and sleep.

I knew I needed to write something. I needed to sit down and just start typing. That is what I needed to do, but today I am feeling horrible. I don’t feel motivated and I feel whatever I might create will not be worth anything of value. This is not true of course. Whatever I create has value, even if it does not feel like it.

Are you having problems getting started with something. Take a moment to feed into that feeling. If you can use that feeling of procrastination, then you will be able to get started with whatever it is you know you should be doing. Try it. Then leave a comment below and let me know how it worked out. I want to see what you did to get yourself moving by feeding what you are feeling.

What happens if a hurricane hits your area unexpectedly? This might be a time you need to get your family out of town and fast.
People ask me, “Why should I have a Bug-Out-Bag?” I thought I would start writing a few scenarios that would call for a bug-out-bag. This will help you to understand why I think it is essential to have one ready to go.
